Appraisal Services
The process begins with a discussion with the Client to determine the scope of work and the need and/or circumstances requiring the Appraisal to determine the appropriate value best suited for the Client’s needs.
The Resources link to this site provides some of the various definitions of value concepts that could be utilized. All Appraisal Reports are prepared by an Accredited Senior Appraiser of Machinery and Equipment with the American Society of Appraisers.
Appraisals are Professional in appearance, independent, objective and USPAP compliant. The American Society of Appraisers is a multi-discipline, non-profit international organization of professional appraisers whose mission is to foster public trust of its members through compliance with the highest levels of ethical and professional standards.

QUICK TURN AROUND WITHIN 3 TO 5 BUSINESS DAYS
FOR DESK-TOP APPRAISALS and WITHIN 7 TO 10 DAYS FOR ON-SITE APPRAISALS
- On-site Appraisal Reports are provided when the need is for the Appraiser to visit the equipment owner’s site. During the visit, the Appraiser will inspect subject equipment, take photos where appropriate, verify the manufacturer, the serial number, and the equipment model, if possible, and formulate an opinion regarding the condition and appearance.
- Desk-top Appraisal Reports are provided when the site visit is either not possible or practical or is not needed for the Client’s particular circumstances. In the Desk-top Appraisal, the Appraiser makes certain assumptions regarding the equipment and assumes that the information provided by the Client and/or Owner is true and correct in all material respects. The values are therefore contingent upon those assumptions. Theoretically, the values in the Desk-Top or On-site Appraisal should be about the same but the fees for Desk-top Appraisals are usually less because less time and expense are required.
- Comprehensive on-site inspection Reports can be provided with detailed equipment descriptions, including general condition and appearance, to assist the Client in better understanding the assets needed to be inspected.
- Age/Useful life and/or Remaining Useful life Reports can be provided to assist the Client in making financing or other applicable decisions regarding subject assets.
- Expert Witness and Litigation Support can be provided when needed.
